This page describes what AriTale collects and why. The short version: we collect what we need to make Tales work, and we don't sell your data.
What we collect
- Account info — email, name, birth year (for the 13+ age gate), username, optional avatar, optional bio.
- Your content — Tales, moments, photos, videos, comments, schedule data.
- Location — only when you actively use Companion mode in the iOS app, and only at the moments you capture.
- Usage signals — anonymized event logs that help us catch bugs and decide what to build next.
How we use it
To run the service: render your Tales, deliver photos, find authors you might want to follow, surface popular content. We don't sell or rent personal data to third parties.
Sharing
We use Supabase for storage / auth and Google Places for place search. Public Tales are visible to other signed-in users. Private Tales are visible only to you and people you invite as collaborators.
Your controls
- Edit or remove any Tale, moment, comment, or photo.
- Block users to remove their content from your view.
- Report content that violates the rules.
- Delete your account from the Account tab.
Children
AriTale isn't intended for children under 13. The signup form enforces this via the birth-year field.
